Julie insists on always having a puzzle in process in her home. She has never found a board game or card game she does not like.
Julie is from a large family, hailing from Cedar Rapids, Iowa as is Aunt and Great Auntie to 83 nieces and nephews. She keeps the family Org Chart up to date for incoming in-laws.
Julie’s grandma took her to see Johnny Cash when she was 12 and he remains her favorite artist to date.

Julie Ironside Jacobs is an outstanding Human Resources Executive known for her exceptional communication skills and knack for finding practical solutions to employee issues. Julie joined JDR Growth Partners in 2024 where she leads human capital and leadership development. Since 2014, Julie has been leading the charge at Ironside & Associates, LLC, a consulting firm based in Chicago. Her role as Principal has seen her take on diverse projects, including guiding executive teams through transitions after ownership changes and facilitating impactful change management programs. Julie’s dedication as an executive coach and facilitator for family businesses has made her an invaluable resource for nurturing the next generation of leaders. Prior to her current role, Julie served as the Vice President of Human Resources & Organizational Development at Fairway Talent in Vernon Hills, IL. Here, she played a pivotal role in revolutionizing HR and organizational development practices across multiple companies, leading to a significant boost in employee engagement. Julie’s efforts in streamlining recruiting processes, implementing new HRIS systems, and establishing top-tier HR practices have left a lasting positive impact on the organizations she has touched.
In addition to her corporate endeavors, Julie is also an Adjunct Faculty member at Loyola University Chicago’s Family Business Center, where she actively contributes to coaching and facilitating peer advisory groups, reflecting her passion for nurturing leadership and organizational development both within and outside the corporate sphere
Julie holds a Bachelor of Education from Iowa State University, with a minor in Psychology. She also holds a Master of Human Resources from Loyola University Chicago with an emphasis in Organizational Development. Julie is a Certified Marshall Goldsmith Coach, and is Certified with Human Synergistics Cultural Assessments, Hogan Profiles, The LVI (Leadership Versatility Index) and Gallup Strength Finders.
Julie has served as an active member of multiple charities, including her Village’s Police and Fire Commission the St. Vincent de Paul Food Banks and Next Level Exchange Mentoring Program.
Julie and her husband have 5 adult children and spend time between Austin, Texas and visiting their children throughout the Midwest and NYC.
